Board Games in the Backcountry

Looking for the perfect mix of winter adventure and cozy cabin vibes? Join us for a guided ski or snowshoe trek through beautiful Kelowna Nordic trails… followed by a relaxed board-game hangout with hot chocolate in one of our warm backcountry cabins.

This is the kind of day winter was made for.

What to Expect

We’ll meet at the trailhead and head out together on skis or snowshoes for a 90-minute trek (pace will be social and friendly). Our destination: a rustic Nordic cabin tucked into the woods where we’ll break out a curated stack of board games to play by the warmth of the cabin fire with hot chocolate & snacks in hand. The game selection will be a mix of new modern games and old classics; something for everyone!

What to Bring

• Nordic skis or snowshoes ('MEC' and 'Mountain Lifestyle Oulets' rent snowshoes, and 'Play It Again Sports' rents both snowshoes and skis)
• Warm layers for the trek and cabin
• Water + snacks (feel free to bring extra to share!)
• Your favourite board game (optional — we’ll have lots!)

Important Notes

• Please arrive 15 minutes early to gear up and check in. We leave at 10:05.
• The trek is moderate and social. We will split into 2 groups - 1 group is snowshoeing, 1 group is skiing. Each group stays together.
• Cabin is heated by wood stove; warm clothing is still recommended.
