Event description

Description

Impact investing is gaining more and more traction within Canadian philanthropy, but many foundations still lack the right information and tools to get started.

This fall, Purpose Capital, Philanthropic Foundations Canada and Community Foundations of Canada are co-hosting a series of Launch workshops in Vancouver, Montreal and Toronto that will help foundations use the newly created Impact Investing Guidebook to advance impact investing at their organization.

The free workshop in Vancouver will unpack the “why” behind impact investing, dig deeper into strategies for success, and walk participants through how to use Impact Investing Guidebook and its resources. We welcome participants who are Foundation Board members, Executive Directors or Investment Committee members. Breakfast and light refreshments will be provided.

This Vancouver workshop is being co-hosted by Genus Capital Management, In addition to the Guidebook launch, J.P. Harrison, Partner & President of Genus Capital Management, will outline opportunities and resources to help engage in impact investing across various styles and asset classes, from public equities and green bonds to private debt and equity.
