Vancouver Swedish Cultural Society
The Swedish Cultural Society, one of the Swedish groups within the Sweden House Society, calls the Scandinavian Community Centre in Burnaby its home along with the Danish, Norwegian and Finland House Societies.
Founded over fifty years ago, the Swedish Cultural Society provides a place for Swedes and their families to socialize and enjoy traditions.
The society works to preserve the traditional art, music and dance of Swedish culture. Promote the understanding of Swedish communities and cultures in Canada. Teaches the Swedish language among Canadians of Swedish descent. Provides opportunities to network and learn from other Swedes outstanding in their fields.
