As part of Venture for Canada's Canadian Scale-Up Speaker Series, come join us for a conversation with Ted Livingston on what is involved with scaling a Canadian technology company. Doors will open at 6PM and the remarks will begin by 6:45.

Ted Livingston is the founder and CEO of Kik, a chat network with millions of active users. Founded in 2009, Kik is headquartered in Waterloo, Ontario, and has raised $120.5 million from investors including Tencent and Union Square Ventures. Ted maintains an active interest in the University of Waterloo’s Velocity Fund, a startup accelerator he conceived of and first funded. He was also named one of Fast Company’s Most Creative People In Business in 2017.

The Feel: Relaxed, casual, and conversational.

The Structure: There is a reception with light food and drink to start, followed by a Q&A by Ted Livingston and Shane Dingman of The Globe and Mail.
