ABOUT YOUR AUDITION:

We want to get to know a little about you. We want to see you act on camera. Keep it real and connected.

What to prepare for your audition:

  • Select and learn one monologue and one scene from contemporary film, TV or theatre scripts (no more than ONE minute each).
  • You need to bring two copies of the scene and monologue with you: one for the reader/panel and one copy for yourself.
  • Bring an actor resume, if you have one.

What to expect on audition day:

  • It is an on-camera audition, in front of a panel.
  • You will be in the room for a maximum of 15 minutes.
  • You will be asked to present your two contrasting pieces (one monologue and one scene; not more than one minute each).
  • We will have a reader off-camera to be your scene partner.
  • Be ready to share and talk about your experiences as an actor or bring your creative resume.

Tips for the audition material:

  • Find contrasting material/scripts.
  • Look for a strong range in emotion/characters. For example, one comedy and one drama.
  • Find characters who are age appropriate (within casting range).
  • Memorize and rehearse the monologue and scene (two-person scenes are best).
  • Make the characters your own. Don’t recreate other actors’ performances.
  • Remember: the monologue and scene should be no more than one minute each.
