This event is being held in compliance with any provincial health and safety orders, as well as facility requirements for Covid-19.

1. Public Health requirements will be continuously evaluated, and participants will be informed of any Covid-19 protocols prior to the event through social media and email.

2. In the absence of any Public Health Order mandates, the organizing committee for (name of event) strongly encourage participants to:

a. Wear a mask for your own protection and the protection of others (dancers continue to have a choice whether to wear a mask while competing)

b. Maintain physical distancing wherever possible

c. Frequent hand hygiene

d. Stay home if you feel sick

3. Upon registering for this event and immediately prior to the event, you agree to the requirements and recommendations of any National, Provincial and local Public health and other governmental authorities as well as any requirements from (name of facility) which may be in effect at the time of the event, as it pertains to the Covid-19 Coronavirus and to adopt all necessary measures to those effects.

4. Participants are required to agree to each of the following at the time of registration:

a. Good Health Declaration (V.2 March 2022 attached)

COs are advised that the wording has been revised so that the participants are agreeing to the 2 bullet points upon registering for the event. Both bullet points deal with being asked to quarantine by a Public Health Authority. The first bullet point is a Federal Government travel quarantine regulation, therefore the provinces do not have authority to remove this regulation. Organizers can still use the QR Code as Canatrace has similar wording on the Good Health Declaration. If using Canatrace, organizers need to provide Canatrace with the updated version of the Covid-19 waiver (V.3 January 15, 2022)

b. Assumption of Risk and Waiver of Liability Relating to Coronavirus/Covid-19. Refer to: Covid-19 waiver (V.3 last modified January 2022)

c. ScotDance Canada Competition and Workshop Waiver Form (V.2 last modified October 2021)

UPCOMING EVENTS: Please note that as COVID-19 protocols change there is possibility that our event may need to be cancelled. If we have to cancel we will refund all event fees via Eventbrite (this does not include any travel costs you may incur). In the mean time we will update you as best we can as protocols and rules change based on the current conditions.
