Event description
Come learn how to paint a mural as part of a coordinated national action to promote a Green New Deal for all!

About this Event

To attend, please RSVP on Eventbrite, there are limited spots ♥

As we approach Kanadian federal elections, Greenpeace & climate justice groups are organizing a coordinated national day of action calling for a Green New Deal in the fall! Seven cities from coast to coast will be taking over the streets altogether to paint their vision of a Green New Deal which will act as a call to action. On Saturday September 14th, we're offering a street mural training to prepare for these actions and learn the basics on how to design and implement street murals! We will go over design, location, strategy, materials, prep & security!

This event is for anyone interested in skilling up their arts-based action knowledge and wanting to help coordinate a mural action in the fall in Victoria, on unceded Lkwungen territory.

>>Lunch will be included for all participants. Vegetarian options will be available.

>> Childcare available upon request, please give at least one week's notice by emailing Sophie at sbirks@greenpeace.org.

>>Money for public transit can be reimbursed if needed.

If you have any questions, please contact Sophie - sbirks@greenpeace.org.

*Thunderbird Mural designed by Christi Belcourt, Isaac Murdoch & David Solnit
