Village Juicery Kombucha Workshop with Cara Cipolla

Village Juicery is holding a workshop for the community to share the knowledge of fermented beverages/foods in their Community Space located at 99 Roncesvalles.
This 1.5 hour session will include a hands on tutorial by Holistic Nutritionist; Cara. This step by step info session will help you understand the nature and history of the art of fermentation, as well as the health benefits of the living beverage. You will also begin your first brew with Cara’s guidance, and take home your work-in-progress 1st ferment.
Starter kit including (SCOBY, 2.8L glass vessel, starter culture liquid, funnel, laminated info card, tea for first ferment, ginger flavouring syrup for second ferment)
What is Kombucha:
Kombucha is a fermented tea that is high in probiotics needed to modulate gut bacteria. Helpful for digestion, Kombucha also has enzymes to aid the breakdown of foodstuff in your gut. Plays an important role in gut/brain connection contributing to cognitive function and memory.
