Test your mental mettle! Compete for prizes and glory at the virtual edition of the North Shore Writers Festival's Literary Trivia night.

About this Event

The North Shore Writers Festival presents a virtual night of literary trivia with author and CBC host Grant Lawrence !

Test your mental mettle, and compete for prizes and glory. Team Captains, gather your team of 3 to 6 to compete in this virtual roundhouse event. Only Team Captains should register for this event on behalf of your entire team.

Space is limited and registration is required. The meeting link and instructions will be sent to Team Captains in advance of the event.

This is a virtual program that takes place online via Zoom. All attendees will need a computer with microphone or headphones and a webcam, or your smartphone/tablet.

Each member of the winning team will be awarded a prize and the title of 2021 North Shore Writers Festival Literary Trivia Champions. Random draw prizes are also up for grabs from participants.

Grant Lawrence Bio:

Grant Lawrence is an award-winning author, CBC personality, singer, columnist and live event host. He is the author of three best-selling books: Adventures in Solitude (2010), The Lonely End of the Rink (2013), and Dirty Windshields (2017). Grant Lawrence is the first author in the history of the BC Book Prizes to win the Bill Duthie Booksellers Choice twice. In 2014, Lawrence won a Canadian Screen Award for hosting the CBC Beetle Roadtrip. Lawrence is the host of the weekly CBC Music Top 20, Canada’s only national chart show. He is also a columnist for the North Shore News, the lead singer of the Smugglers since 1988, and the goalie for the Vancouver Flying Vees beer league hockey team. Grant Lawrence is married to musician Jill Barber and they live in Vancouver, BC, with their two children. Grant’s next book is “Bailey the Bat,” his first children’s picture book, scheduled to be published in September 2021.
