About this event
The Ministry of the Environment, Conservation and Parks is hosting a virtual town hall on Lake Simcoe on February 11, 2021, from 12:30 - 3:30 pm.
The virtual town hall is open to all who are interested in the future of Lake Simcoe and will include presentations about the Lake Simcoe Protection Plan, highlights of progress made and projects to protect and restore the lake, the review process and other opportunities for engagement. It will also include opportunities for participants to share their perspectives on the plan and provide suggestions on ways to better protect and restore the health of the lake and watershed.
This event is part of the legislated review of the Lake Simcoe Protection Plan. The Lake Simcoe Protection Act, 2008, requires the Minister of the Environment, Conservation and Parks to review the plan at least every 10 years to determine whether the plan should be amended. More information on the 10-year review can be found on our Lake Simcoe Protection Plan Review page.
Thank you for your interest in the virtual town hall on Lake Simcoe. The event will be hosted online using Zoom. The meeting link will be sent to you before the event. On the day of the town hall, participants can log in to the event 15 minutes ahead of the opening presentation, which will start promptly at 12:45 pm.
