Description

Join Penny and Bob Armstrong and Dr. John Radford as they lead us through two fruitful days of ministry and martial knowledge and application. This event is not only for married couples but also for those who seek to have sustainable balance in their ministry life.

Bob & Penny Armstrong's Bio

Married for 33 years, parents of three adult married men and one beautiful grandchild, Bob and Penny have been co-Executive Directors of Oasis Ministries for the past six years. Prior to taking on this position, Bob and Penny ministered for nearly 30 years with The Salvation Army in various capacities: pastors, church planters, hospital chaplains, counselors, instructors, facilitators of reconciliation, and retreat leaders. Through the Salvation Army’s Emergency Response Ministry they have also served at Ground Zero (911); Biloxi, Mississippi (Hurricane Katrina) and Kelowna, B.C. (Okanagan Fires) providing emotional and spiritual care. Both hold a Master of Arts degree in counseling, are Registered Clinical Counselor, and the co-authors of the ‘Couple Care Marriage Preparation Manual’ and ‘Along The Way’ (a book encouraging healthy relationships for couples already along the way in their marriage). Bob has also authored ‘Broken Church Restored’— A systematic approach of applying spiritual first-aid to broken churches in need of healing. As a former Executive Director and lead counselor of Cascade Christian Counselling Penny loves spending time with family, friends and always enjoys a good laugh. She loves getting lost in a good story and is determined one day to write one. Bob loves playing hockey and baseball with his 3 sons and enjoys the occasional game of golf.

A major focus of his work internationally has been on assessing and building organizational capacity for transition. He is an accomplished international business and leadership coach, mediator, published author and university professor.

A recognized expert in the area of trust and conflict, John John’s conflict expertise has roots back to the final decade of the Apartheid era when he worked in the South African violence-torn townships to build capacity for conflict as a foundation for the hoped for peaceful societal transition. His work ultimately helped lay the foundation for the South African Truth and Reconciliation Commission under Nelson Mandela’s leadership.

John is the current chairman of the Board of Oasis Ministries and has been teaching and counseling with pastors, missionaries, leaders and spouses at Oasis since its inception over 16 years ago. John has a deep love for God’s Bride (the church) and considers it a privilege investing in the lives of Christian leaders.

Covering topics such as Embracing Vulnerability, Boundaries, and Resilience, this is a refresher along your ministry path to help you thrive. Fellowship Pacific is proud to present this seminar in partnership with Oasis Leadership Ministries for both our Immerse students as well as Ministry workers and spouses.
