Event description

Description

A visual support refers to using a picture or other visual item to communicate with a child who has difficulty understanding or using language. Visual supports can be photographs, drawings, objects, written words, or lists.

Research has shown that visual supports work well as a way to communicate. The two main purposes are to help parents communicate better with their child, and they help their child communicate better with others.

During this workshop we will be helping you develop your only visuals for your child and educating you on how how's and what's of them.

This workshop will take place on Tuesday, September 24th from 6:00 PM - 7:30 PM at the Gino Marcus Community Complex in the Autism Ontario Windsor-Essex office.

This event is free to attend for all. If you have any comments, questions, or concerns regarding this workshop, please do not hesitate to call the office at 519-250-1893 or e-mail us at livia.windsor@autismontario.com.
