Thinking about starting a vlog? Looking for some great quick-start expert advice? Join us for this 3 part series and discover how to get up and running with your vlog aspirations. From the basics of gear set up to editing and publishing the final cut, we’ll show you the essentials of how to get started with your new vlog!

  • Style Elements - How to make a vlog more interesting and engaging with time lapses, slow motion footage, and other elements of style
  • Sound – Recording formats, microphone placement, sound elements
  • Planning your shoot
  • Legal Tips: Canadian privacy and copyright FAQ’s (music, logos, trespassing, etc.)

What you will take away and learn: Ideas for creating more engaging videos, along with a basic "storyboard" outline to follow when choosing what to film for each vlog. PLUS learn how to utilize proper sound to add a more professional feel to your videos.

Sean Story
After completing a degree at the Pacific Audio Visual Institute in Vancouver, Sean moved to Toronto to pursue a career as a freelance videographer and sound engineer. He has worked with numerous Juno award winning artists, and brings his experience capturing live video to the classroom with dynamic, hands-on courses that give students the knowledge and tools to start producing content immediately. Sean’s love of teaching combined with his ability to move between video, photo and audio platforms makes for the perfect mix when it comes to leading video courses.
