VMC 104 - Orientation, Training and Supervision of Volunteers
Whether the role of a volunteer is basic and routine or more complex, the same level of training, guidance, and supervision must be provided in order to help your volunteers perform the agreed to duties.
In this class you will increase your ability to engage volunteers, run dynamic orientations, train them effectively and provide them with support and supervision. As a result you will expand the capacity of your volunteer program such that present volunteers can gain skills, expand their responsibilities, move into leadership roles or shift their volunteer placements within your organization where appropriate.
Orientations, ongoing Training and Supervision are key opportunities to reflect back to volunteers the important impact they are making with your organization and clients while also serving to maintain their engagement with you!
This course is delivered in a “Train-the-Trainer” format. Participants will receive a Certificate from Volunteer Edmonton following this workshop
Date: April 15 & 16, 2013
