If you would like financial support to come to camp, please let us know, and we will do our utmost to help your family attend!

ELKS & Royal Purple Fund for Children has generously offered to cover the camp costs for kids under 18, with the submission of sponsorship form provided upon registration.

FAQs

How do I apply for sponsorship for my child/ren?

Within a few days of registering, we will email you a form; please complete one per child 6-18 years of age, and email or mail it to the ELKS (instructions on the form). There are no questions regarding family income; sponsorship will be assessed on a first come first serve basis.

What if I'm not a VOICE member?

If you are not a VOICE member, you a welcome to become a member! Please go to the VOICE for Deaf and Hard of Hearing website at www.voicefordeafkids.com and join us! All are welcome! (Annual fee $65).

How can I make a donation?

All financial donations are greatly appreciated and can be made by purchasing a "ticket" for the amount you wish to donate. These funds will be used to help VOICE Family Camp, including help a family in need of financial support.

You may also choose to make a donation to our Raffle! (see below)

What are the accommodations like?

There are cabins with electricity; most have indoor washrooms with showers, but this may have to be shared with other families. Some families like to share cabins--a "sleep over" for the kids, and a chance for parents to chat, and it allows us to have MORE families at camp! Be sure to let us know if you are willing to share with another family!

What if someone has allergies?

A few days after you register, you will receive an email from our Camp Director, with more details, as well as a few questions we need to know, so we can make sure everyone has fun! Please let the Camp Director know if you have any food or physical limitations.

I have a donation for the raffle; do I bring it?

This year, we are asking for donations to the raffle table to be made BEFORE AUGUST 1, 2017. We have 3 drop off locations for your convenience. This will allow our Raffle Diva to prepare and plan the display before camp! Our volunteers have kindly offered to be drop off locations, just email them to make arrangements:

EAST: AJAX, at Val’s, email: valerieadamo@sympatico.ca

NORTH: MARKHAM, at Svetlana’s, email: franksvetlana@gmail.com

WEST: OAKVILLE, at Dev’s, email: devdebie@gmail.com

What can I bring to share at the event?

Each family is asked to bring a snack to share on Saturday night. Things like cookies, fruit, veggie tray, water, juice boxes--whatever your family likes to snack on. Bring enough for your family; if we all bring something, we'll have TONS! Please let us know what you plan on bringing.

What should I bring?

It’s summer camping in Ontario! Bug spray and sunscreen are a must! Be sure to pack things like rain gear (if in the forecast), sleeping bags (or sheets and blankets), pillows, FLASHLIGHTS, toiletries, snacks (meals are included, but not snacks), swimsuit, towels, BICYCLES (or wagon/stroller), closed shoes if you want to go on the high ropes, and most of all, YOU and YOUR FAMILY! If you have a little one, bring a booster seat for mealtime!

How can I help?

We will be asking for volunteers to help during different times; stay tuned!

What about my teenager?

We hope your teenager can come! Not only to help us out and get some community hours, but also to enjoy the activities we are planning just for the them!
