Canada Day in Barrhaven runs exclusively on volunteer power! We are looking for responsible, enthusiastic, energetic individuals that want to come and enjoy Canada Day by helping out and getting involved in the community.

Volunteers are needed to help out before, during and after the event.

Specifically, we need:

** Pre-event, Thursday June 30 ** -- Event setup – 10am - 5pm

** Canada Day, Friday July 1 **

Adults for entry gate control

• 9:30am-1pm - multicultural stage entry -- 1 adult
• 1-4pm - multicultural stage entry -- 1 adult
• 10am-1pm (2 volunteers/gate, 3 gates) -- 6 adults
• 1-4pm (2 volunteers/gate, 3 gates) -- 6 adults
• 4-7pm (1 security + 1 volunteer/gate, 3 gates) -- 3 adults
• 7-10pm (1 security + 1 volunteer/gate, 3 gates) -- 3 adults

Age 16+ for Parking control, gravel parking lot behind main stage

• 9am-1pm -- 2 volunteers
• 1-4pm -- 2 volunteers
• 4-7pm -- 1 volunteer + 1 security guard
• 7-10pm -- 1 volunteer + 1 security guard

Students & Adults for:

Event setup

• 9am-11am

Kids Zone setup and activities – 10 people/shift

• 10am-1pm
• 1-3pm
• 3-5pm

Multicultural stage - 1 person/shift

• 11am-2pm
• 2-4pm

Grounds clean-up -- 2 people/shift

• 12-2pm
• 2-4pm
• 4-6pm
• 6-8pm
• 8-10pm

Grounds clean-up -- 4-6 people

• 10:30pm-11:30pm

** Saturday July 2 **

• Event take-down and clean-up -– 10am until 3pm
