Description

This full day symposium, funded by the County of Kings, Rotary Club of Mud Creek, Eastern Community Health Board and Central Kings Community Health Board, is offered free-of-charge to those interested in volunteerism in our community.

The day will begin with a Plenary Panel: “Tapping into Provincial Resources”, with participation from 211 Nova Scotia; Association of Volunteer Management Professionals Nova Scotia; the Community Sector Council; Non-Profit Sector Division of the Department of Communities, Culture and Heritage, Province of Nova Scotia; and NSCC Nonprofit Leadership Program. This will be followed by a selection of four workshops appropriate for both volunteers and those employed with the not-for-profit sector. Over a catered lunch, participants will have a presentation from Good NS. Following lunch, there will a choice of an additional four workshops.
