This 3-hour interactive training goes over the responsibilities and requirements of being a Horse Handler in a therapeutic riding program.
Please note that this is an evaluation and there is a minimum requirement of either horse experience (leading, grooming, and tacking included) or at least 6 months as a volunteer Side Walker. Please contact volunteer@vtra.ca for a copy of the evaluation form.
All new volunteers must apply online (https://www.vtra.ca/volunteer-application-form) prior to attending this training.
All volunteers must wear a mask and bring their vaccine passport with ID.
