Date and time
Join us at Khatsahlano this year and help us present the Host Nation's Pavilion at 4th and Vine!
About this event
We are so excited to be presenting the Host Nations Pavilion this year at Khatsahlano Music and Street Festival on Saturday July 9th at the corner of West 4th Ave and Vine St.
The festival runs from 11am to 9pm and the Host Nations Pavilion will showcase Indigenous Artists, Workshops, live carvings, MST vendors, and more!
Below are some of the shifts that are available - please sign up by Registering!
Set up Shift:
Help the team set up the morning of the event! The set up shift is perfect for those early risers and those wanting to check out the event after their shift. The shift will run from 8am to 1pm and volunteers will help MOV staff set the area up and represent MOV at the info booth.
Tear Down Shift:
Help the team tear down our booth at the end of the event! The tear down shift runs from 4pm to 8pm and is perfect for those who want to check out the Festival before their shift starts. We will begin tearing down the area around 7pm.
Paintillio Supervising:
Help supervise the paint-by-number Paintillio stations at the entrance of the Pavilion. These large scale paintings are paint by number murals that feature artwork by 2 Coast Salish artists. Volunteers supervising these stations will help the public with paint brushes and manage line ups that may occur. There will be 2 shifts available - 10:30am to 2:30pm & 2pm to 6pm.
Floaters:
These shifts provide general assistance during the event! Some areas of assistance include helping out at the Paintillio stations, helping at the workshop station with Rita Kompst (Cedar Bark Weaving), welcoming the public into the pavilion, and more! There will be 2 shifts available - 10:30am to 2:30pm & 2pm to 6pm.
