Event Details

As you know we are going to setup stem cell drive in July, we are recruiting volunteers. Without your help, we cannot make this happen. Please join us with Canadian Blood Services “OneMatch”.

Under the stem cell statistics, of the 32% minorities registered in the stem cell database, only 16% are Asian. As an Edmonton man undergoes a life-or-death search for a stem cell donor to help him fight a rare blood cancer, he is highlighting the growing need for Canadians of all ethnicities to register as donors. It is quoted by CTV news.

If anyone is interested to be an volunteer, please sign up at this Eventbrite event.

Please see the following information regarding of the stem cell drive.

1) Number of volunteers needed each day

We have 6 sessions totally. Each session, we need at least 4 to 8 volunteers.

 2) Volunteers Job description

Recruiter/Pre-screening:  Not for shy people! Our recruiters/pre-screening volunteers will speak to the general public about our program, provide details of the donation process and direct potential registrants over to our Registration and Swabbing Stations.

Registration and Swabbing:  Registration Volunteers will provide the registrant with a Health Screening Questionnaire to complete, the volunteer will prepare the swab kit for the registrant and direct the registrant to the final station once everything has been completed.

There will be training on the spot by the Canadian Blood Services before each shift.
