Walking the Red Road
Overview
Join Jonathan Fox on the Red Road to Recovery
The Waakebiness Institute for Indigenous Health (WIIH) will be hosting Walking The Red Road. Johnathan Fox will facilitate this workshop at the institute.
Johnathan Fox invites you to walk with him on a journey of healing, strength, and transformation, through a peer-to-peer recovery group called Walking the Red Road to Recovery. For many years, he battled addiction—alcohol, narcotics, and the chaos that came with them.
His personal struggles led him through the darkest chapters of life: homelessness, incarceration, and isolation. Through years of hard work, self-discovery, and support from those who walked the path before him, he found his way back. Johnathan reclaimed his life. He found purpose in recovery, and today, he lives with hope and direction. Now, it’s his mission to giveback—to walk alongside others and share what was so freely given to him.
This group is not about judgment. It is about support, truth, healing and community. If you’re ready to take the first step, or even if you’re just thinking about it, know that you’re not alone. John has walked this road and he will support you in walking this road too!
