Business to Business (B2B) and Business to Researcher (B2R) Instructions:

The Waterloo Cyber Security and Defence Forum will feature a B2B session in the afternoon between 1:30pm and 430pm at Federation Hall.

For those who have not participated in B2Bs before, they are basically ‘speed dating’ for businesses, offering an excellent opportunity to develop new business. At the forum, large Defence and ICT Firms will host tables and the small and medium sized companies (SMEs) and University Researchers will be assigned 15minute slots. In these 15minute blocks, the SME or Researcher will introduce themselves and explore areas of collaboration and opportunity with the different Hosts. The SME or Research will rotate after each 15min block.

How to register for B2Bs:

Step One: Selecting your ticket type

Do you want to host a table? If the answer is yes, choose the B2B host option under the ‘tickets’ tab. Choosing this option will provide you two tickets to the event and a table during the B2B session. If the answer is no, choose the Business or individual rate. Choosing this option will provide you with one ticket for the event.

Step Two: Opting into the B2Bs

Would you like to participate in the B2Bs? If the answer is yes, indicate so under the ‘other information’ section at the end of the registration process. The system will prompt you to provide information on your company, products, services and B2B objectives. Please be as detailed as possible as we will base your meetings on these details.

***Those who select the B2B host ticket option will automatically opt into the B2B sessions

Step Three: Receiving your Schedule:

Based on the details you provided during the registration process, our team will develop your meeting schedule for you. On October 31, 2017 keep an eye out for an email from our team providing you with your username and password for the B2B/2GO platform. On this platform, you will be able to access your customized B2B schedule in addition to the conference agenda, and backgrounders on the various stakeholders attending.

B2B deadline:

Please note that the cutoff date for B2B registrations is October 26, 2017. After this date, participants will be placed on a waiting list.
