Waverley Gold Rush Foot Race Classic 2016
Enfield PharmaChoice and Tall Ships Art Production Ltd are co-sponsoring this year's 5km and 1.5km Fun Run on September 10 in Waverley's beautiful McDonald Sports Park. All runners of all ages and abilities are welcome!
Race Details:
- 5km Fun Run for runners 11 and older: 8AM start, September 10, McDonald Sports Park
- 1.5km Kids Fun Run for runners 10 and younger: 9:30 AM start, September 10, McDonald Sports Park
Registration:
- $10 per registrant (+ Eventbrite fee of $1.20)
- If you can’t run, you can make a donation to the Sports Park or pay for a young runner’s registration fee
- Registration is available online. For those who cannot register online, please contact Alison McEachern at alisonmceachern@me.com.
All money raised in this event will be donated to McDonald Sports Park to support ongoing maintenance of its nature and bike trails.
Three Age Categories:
- 1.5 km Kids Fun Run: 10 and Younger Division
- 5km Fun Run: 11 - 15 Division and a 16 + Division
- If you can’t run, you can make a donation to the Sports Park or pay for a young runner’s registration fee
Prizes:
- Classic Foot Race Trophy for the fastest male and female runner in the 11 - 15 year category
- Medals for the top 3 male and female runners in each age category
- Ribbons for all!
Gently-Used Sneaker Donations:
If you have any gently-used sneakers that you would like to donate to those who might enjoy them, please bring them to the event. We will be collecting and donating them to those in need of new runners.
