In addition to uniformed career opportunities, the OPP also has an ongoing need to fill volunteer and civilian positions, including but not limited to; communications, transcription, forensics, information technology and Special Constable roles.

Interested in learning about the role of a Police Officer from frontline members of the OPP? Join us on Provincial Recruitment Day for a Meet and Greet. Meet and Greets provide participants the opportunity to gain knowledge into the role of a frontline police officer. Officers from Superior East OPP Detachment will discuss what they love about working for the OPP and will share any tips that helped them during the recruitment process. If you are unsure about the day-to-day responsibilities of a Police Officer and want to ensure this role is right for you, a Detachment Open House is an excellent opportunity to learn more from members of our team.

Registration

Only those who have successfully registered via Eventbrite will be admitted into the building. If this session is listed as SOLD OUT, please do not contact the Event organizer. If you cannot attend, please cancel your reservation on Eventbrite so someone else may take your place.

Admission/Identification

This event is free of charge. While you do not require a printed copy of your ticket, Government-Issued Photo I.D. is required.

Food/Drinks

Food and drinks will not be provided at Provincial Recruitment Day events. Please bring a re-fillable water bottle, and lunch/snacks as needed. For Provincial Recruitment Day events that are four hours or longer, a lunch period will be provided, where attendees will be free to purchase a lunch nearby, or bring their own.

No Admittance for Late Arrivals

Doors will open no sooner than 10:00 AM and close at 2:00 PM.

Parking

Complimentary parking will be available on-site in the visitor section of the parking lot.

Notice of Filming and Photography

To enable those who cannot attend in person to participate via social media, Provincial Recruitment Day events will be captured via photography and videography. Upon arrival, participants will be required to sign a Photo/Video Waiver and Release of Liability.
