Description

Building codes in many jurisdictions are heading towards net zero energy use. What will that mean for commercial, office, and mixed-use buildings? In this presentation, Dr. John Straube will discuss energy use in these building types and identify practical do’s and don’ts for achieving net zero targets. We will take a whole-building approach, looking at the enclosure as well as mechanical systems and managing plug loads for equipment such as computers, copiers, etc. We’ll also discuss special considerations such as loading docks, lobbies, and refrigeration. Join us to find out how net zero can work at work!

Presenter: John Straube, P.Eng., Ph.D.
