The six National Collaborating Centres for Public Health (NCCs) and the Public Health Physicians of Canada (PHPC) are proud to present the fourth webinar in the Knowledge Translation in Public Health Medicine series:

How can we contain health costs and improve health equity? (Host: NCC for Determinants of Health)

The presenters and participants will explore:

  • how much socio-economic health inequalities cost the Canadian health system

  • evidence that demographic and economic pressures are stretching Canada’s ability to maintain its system of individual-centred health care

  • examples of research & practice supporting greater investment in the determinants of health

  • arguments for changing how we proportion health care dollars
