Description

Using Ontario’s Health Equity Impact Assessment in Systems Level Work: Learnings from the Systems Improvement through Service Collaboratives Initiative

Join CAMH's Provincial System Support Program team as they share their experience, examples and learnings from using HEIA in large systems-level projects in their work with the Systems Improvement through Service Collaboratives (SISC) initiative across the province.

The Systems Improvement through Service Collaboratives (SISC) initiative is part of Open Minds, Healthy Minds: Ontario’s Comprehensive Mental Health and Addictions Strategy, a ten year plan that commits to the transformation of mental health and addiction services for all Ontarians. Within the first three years of the strategy, 18 Service Collaboratives were created to support local systems change and improve coordination of services across sectors to better support individuals with mental health and addictions needs. The Centre for Addiction and Mental Health (CAMH) sponsors the project with support from six ministries of the Ontario government.

This webinar will include:

  • Brief introduction to CAMH’s Provincial System Support Program and the SISC initiative
  • Overview of HEIA use in the SISC initiative
  • Examples of HEIA applied in local SISC initiatives
  • Challenges and opportunities in applying the HEIA to systems-level work
  • Key learnings and resources

The webinar will consist of a 30 minute presentation followed by a 15 minute Q & A session. If you have any questions for the presenters ahead of time, please email them to healthequity@camh.ca.

Presenters:

  • Christie Collins-Williams, Manager, Strategic Partnerships and Engagement, PSSP
