Learn about the different avenues for proving your English or French proficiency for Canadian citizenship purposes. This includes: CELPIP, IELTS, LINC, French Tests, and post-secondary / secondary education.

What do we do at the Language Assessment Referral and Counselling Centre (LARCC)?

We are a test centre for the Canadian Language Benchmark test. We also offer educational counselling and can refer you to a funded English program (LINC), ESL courses, skills training programs and other services!

Organizer of Webinar: Language Requirements for Canadian Citizenship

The Language Assessment, Referral, and Counselling Centre (LARCC) of Catholic Social Services has been providing free English language assessments and educational counselling for newcomers since 1985. We work within the Immigration and Settlement team to help newcomers settle in Canada, and achieve their career/education goals. All of our services are free for permanent residents, Convention refugees, and Canadian citizens. Everyone, regardless of immigration status, is invited to register for our online events.
