How to Pivot Your Major Gift Fundraising in the Time of the COVID-19 Pandemic


Explore meaningful ways and opportunities to adapt your major gift fundraising program to reflect the impact of COVID-19.

Learning Objectives

In our session together we will:

  • Learn how a major gift program fits into your overall fundraising plan
  • Review the impact that COVID-19 is having on philanthropy in Ontario and beyond
  • Explore ways in which donors, funders and organizations are pivoting to respond and adapt to COVID-19
  • Learn how to digital network with major gift donors in the age of physical distancing
  • Discover effective relationship building techniques to connect with empathy and to keep donors connected to your cause

The workshop will be conducted online in three one hour sessions.

Attendance is free for all PAFN members. If you or your organization is not a member, please visit the PAFN website and join for 2020/2021 and you will be able to register for this workshop.

About the Presenter

Nicole Beatty, Chief Community Builder | NicBea & Co., Associate | The Fundraising Lab @ Cathy Mann & Associates

Nicole Beatty is a Certified Fundraising Executive (CFRE) who has raised $30 million for causes worldwide and co-founded four charities. Nicole manages her own consultancy, specializing in capacity building, operational planning, coaching, and development services for charitable and non-profit organizations, social enterprises and other community-minded businesses. In 2018, Nicole was elected municipal Councillor for her hometown, Cobourg, Ontario, and appointed the Planning and Heritage portfolio. Nicole is an avid reader and writer, a social justice advocate, and loves outdoor adventures, yoga and bicycles. Nicole earned her BA Hons from the University of Ottawa and received a post-graduate certificate from Ryerson University.
