Exercise.

Living in 'our skin' truly requires a lot of upkeep, but we are now learning--more than ever-- the benefits of that upkeep! Movement. Confidence. Stimulation. Growth. Mental Health. Good Quality of Life.

What is Well Stretched and Fit?

The fundamentals of movement, as therapy. Doing a host of activities and exercises are great and usually builds up over time! But what about the base floor? Where to start from? What are the fundamentals of mobility, muscle health, strength and flexibility? How do you know how to move and protect yourself from pain and injury?

We currently don't have a fundamentals movement class as part of our public-school curriculum, but the lessons would be invaluable, as they would set the pace for a healthy, proactive and educated society. Creating generation after generation of people who learned how to take care of their body from an early age, influencing themselves to productively overcome the challenges of life and support whole-body development. #changingtheworld #dream

If having control over affecting your physical health, mood, mental health and longevity is important to you, learning how to move, stretch and restore normal muscle function and strength can benefit you for the rest of your life.

Engage yourself in a community with a fundamentals workshop to learn body awareness, practical movement skills and self care techniques you can always fall back on, no matter your endaevour, no matter where you are and no matter how tough life may get.

What to expect?

90 minutes of basic body knowledge and simple instruction for stretching and fitness fundamentals. You will learn about patterns of pain, avoidable mistakes when training, how to get the most out of stretching and how to release overcompensation and overcome weakness, poor balance and coordination.

Is there equipment?

Most techniques will use body weight, but a handful will be demonstrated using light weights to offer progressive solutions for assisting with strength building.

I have an injury. Can I attend?

The practice is completely modifiable to your needs and how you need to practice for your body. We recommend to sit this one out if your injury makes you immobile or impedes your overall range of motion. Best to rest.

Where is the workshop?

Reset Wellness, 10324 - 82 ave and is facilitated by our very own Massage Therapist and Fitness Specialist, Miranda Horvath.

What to bring?

Wear comfortable active wear, bring a water bottle and a stellar attidute. We're going to learn a lot!

48 hour workshop cancellation policy. If you change your mind or can no longer attend, be sure to cancel 48 hours in advance to receive your full refund. Less than 48 hour notice is 100% loss of the workshop investment. Have a friend sub in for you in that case!
