Aging Matters, April 21 and 22, 2023
The learning community brings together leaders in geriatrics, gerontology and care for persons living with dementia including physicians, nurse practitioners, nurses, social workers and other members of interdisciplinary teams. Participants come from long-term, acute and community care, and are informed by researchers, ethicists and legal experts. This year, we look forward to connecting both in person and online.
Last year, we discussed the huge impact of COVID-19 on seniors, their family members and care staff, and the “clarion calls” for a change in perspectives, planning and decision making. Join colleagues and an expert faculty as we discuss research, initiatives, and policy changes including aging in the ‘right’ place.
The two day program includes plenary sessions and options for concurrent sessions that provide opportunities to build broader expertise and interdisciplinary connections on Aging and LTC.
The powerful theme of personal stories will be braided through the program. We will share narratives that underpin dignity and respect and guide person-centred care.
