Event description
In this webinar, we will show how to run Julia code in parallel.

About this Event

Julia is a high-level programming language well suited for scientific computing and data science.

Just-in-time compilation, among other things, makes Julia really fast yet interactive. For heavy computations, Julia supports shared and distributed memory parallelism, making it a good language for high-performance computing.

In this webinar, we will show how Julia code can be sped up by parallelization using two examples: an N-body solver and a Julia set.

Speakers:

  • Alex Razoumov, Visualization and Training Coordinator, WestGrid
  • Marie-Hélène Burle, Research Computing Training Assistant, WestGrid
