Event Details

Over the last year we have been hearing more and more about the Green New Deal.  The idea references the New Deal of the 1930s in the USA which was a set of policies and programs that ignited massives government spending to bring the country out of the Great Depression.  The Green New Deal is intended to move us away from a fossil fuel based economy. Implementing this will be a massive societal shift, so part of the deal involves using this opportunity of change to address other inequities found in our society.

Currently the Green New Deal is only an idea, but one with a massive amount of support.  This spring, many organizations and individuals came together in support of a Green New Deal however election collusion laws put all discussions on hold until after the Federal Election. So we are about to hear a lot more about this plan to transform our society.

So what will that mean for Green Building in Manitoba?

Join us at our next Lunch and Learn for a panel discussion to discover what you need to know about the Green New Deal and how it could affect your work.
