What do you mean by "CIVIC engagement"?
Event Information
Description
The concept of CIVIC engagement might be foreign to many newcomers. Join us for a lively community discussion to explore the concept of CIVIC engagement for newcomer residents in Surrey. How do immigrants learn about volunteer leadership opportunities? How do they participate in civic affairs? What would help immigrant residents to get more involved in their community?
The discussion is taking place as a part of the Inclusive City Cafe 2018 Winter-Spring series. Coffee and tea is provided.
About Moderators: This community dialogue session will be facilitated by members of the Surrey Immigrant Advisory Roundtable (IAR).
