Description

February 19, 2020, 8:30 am 5:00 pm and February 20, 2020 8:30 am 5:00 pm

This two-day Dare to Lead™ workshop is a courage-building program that analyzes the relationship between vulnerability and courage.

The workshop is based on the research of Dr. Brené Brown which has been collected from over 400,000 pieces of data. Dare to Lead™ is the ultimate playbook for developing courageous leaders and cultures. Daring leadership is a collection of four skill sets that are 100% teachable. This workshop will leave you with tools that will help you recognize when you are triggered by something and help you find compassion for yourself and others. You will explore creating strong boundaries, having tough conversations, and other tools.

Brené Brown spent seven years asking one question to 150 transformative leaders, from the military, creatives, non-profits, youth activists, and NGOs: What defines the future of leadership? The answer was the same from all participants: more courageous leadership.

We need more Courageous leaders!! In the absence of that, we will not be able to succeed.

The revolution starts with courageous leadership. We need leaders that have the courage to show up, be seen and be guardians of spaces where your people can be curious, learn, show up and also be seen.

Do you believe that your team and organization would change tomorrow if everyone walked in and had the capacity for honest, productive, hard conversations?

When you complete this workshop, you will be able to:

  • Understand why vulnerability (uncertainty, risk, and emotional exposure) is the foundational skill set of courage.
  • Understand the critical role that self-awareness plays in daring leadership.
  • Understand that it’s armour – not fear – that is the greatest obstacle to daring leadership.
  • Identify the four skill sets that makeup courage: rumbling with vulnerability, living into our values, BRAVING trust, and learning to rise.
  • Understand that courage is a collection of four skill sets that are measurable, observable, and teachable.
  • Recognize that vulnerability is the birthplace of many of the behaviours that define daring leadership including creativity, accountability, and difficult conversations.
  • Recognize that daring leadership requires showing up for hard conversations and rumbles, including giving and receiving feedback.
  • Learn tools to be you, be all in and fall, rise and try again.

Workshop Price Includes:

  • A two-day workshop facilitated by a Certified Dare to Lead™ Facilitator
  • Dare to Lead™ personal workbook
  • We will use LEGO® SERIOUS PLAY® methodology https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rld-gUrp-iw
