What’s Different? Measuring Change using Pre/Post Data Collection Tools: A workshop offering practical skills for measuring change before and after a program intervention.

Who should attend?
Anyone delivering or managing programs that seek to change individual knowledge, attitudes or actions (e.g., case managers, support workers, educators/trainers).

What will you learn?
How to design and use simple tools to measure individual and group changes in knowledge, attitudes or behaviour.

Learning outcomes:

  • Learn about traditional pre-post vs retrospective pre-post surveys and the advantages / disadvantages of both

  • Use a checklist to help choose an approach, design and implement tools to measure change

  • Apply good design principles to enhance validity and ensure tools are accessible and appropriate to the desired audience

  • See how to use Excel to enter data, analyze and report results
