When Gender is In Question: A Guide to Understanding at Indigo

About this event

When Gender is In Question: A Guide to Understanding is finally being launched with an in-person book signing on Sat., August 20, 2022, 12:00 noon at Indigo Books, 2300 Yonge Street at Eglinton, in Toronto. Books will be available for purchase and there will be a brief reading and presentation by two of the book's authors, Suzanne Sherkin and Skyler Hagen.

When Suzanne’s youngest child transitioned from female to their authentic male gender identity, she had no guidance on how to understand this journey – emotionally or medically. So she wrote the book she wished she’d had. When Gender is In Question is a valuable guide to understanding more about the current dialogue around gender diversity – at home, at school, and at work. It addresses many common questions:

- What are the current issues facing trans and gender diverse people?

- What is the difference between being gay and being trans?

- What words and phrases are valuable to know in this conversation?

- What is the medical research on gender?

Whether you are a partner, parent, colleague, or teacher of someone who is questioning their gender, this book is an informative guide that provides insight and information for the journey.

Suzanne brings her skills as a public speaker, trainer, mediator, and conflict coach to this arena of discussion.

Register for the event to be included in a draw for a free signed copy of the book or a one-hour free mediation consultation.
