When tomorrow Comes - Walking the Lenten Journey from Death to Resurrection
Event Information
About this Event
In a recent series of interviews, published as LET US DREAM: THE PATH TO A BETTER FUTURE, - Pope Francis challenges us to look to the kind of world which will emerge from the pandemic through which we are living. He invites us to use this crisis as a precious opportunity to learn TO SEE CLEARLY, TO CHOOSE WELL, and TO ACT RIGHTLY.
The story of Jean Valjean as told in Les Miserables is filled with powerful parallels to the journey from death to Resurrection which we as Christians are invited to follow in the Lenten season. Through his interactions with the people in his life, we see Jean Valjean grow in his ability to respond to God’s grace with compassion and love, even when confronted with law and judgment, with situations of human misery and deprivation. As we walk with Christ through a broken and hurting world, may we be inspired to journey with compassion and grace – dreaming our dreams, reaching out to others in love, knowing that there is truly “a life about to start when tomorrow comes!”
