About this event
Come out and learn about invasive plants!! My name is Mandy Huynh, and I want to help you learn about the common invasive plants in our community. Invasive plants may seem harmless at first, but leave it alone for a few weeks and they can spread rapidly! It can also change and alter the environment around us. On the hike, I will be sharing some resources on how you can quickly identify if a plant is invasive and what you can do to help limit its spread. Receive free native wildflower seed bombs for participating! Pets are welcomed.
Once you've registered for a hike, I will send a confirmation email with the event details. This will be a rain or shine event. Please remember to bring a water bottle for the hike. Thank you!
*We will be meeting at the north end of Black Creek Parkland in front of the park's sign at 5 Shoreham Drive (across from the visitor's parking lot at Black Creek Pioneer Village). The hike will be on trails at Black Creek Parkland.
This event is supported by Youth Challenge International and Bullfrog Power.
