WIES Design Competition 2017
The WIES Design Competition is a design competition open to boys and girls aged 11-14 to help them discover the excitement of Engineering and Science. To help them along this journey, Toronto Rehab and the Professional Engineers of Ontario will be supporting the participants every step of the way by providing facilitators who are currently in the field of Engineering and Science. This event runs over the course of two weekends: July 8th & 9th and July 15th & 16th
This year's competition focuses on using the latest technology to create solutions to real world problems. Participants will have the opportunity to work with technology, learn design from experienced facilitators and gain an understanding of how engineering and social/health problems interact in the real world.
In addition to learning about engineering and science from the workshops and team facilitators, participants will also have an excellent opportunity to meet other students who are similarly interested in engineering and science!
