WIES Volunteer Info Session

CALL FOR VOLUNTEERS!
For the past three years, the West Toronto PEO has organized an annual youth education outreach event in the summer known as the Women in Engineering and Science (WIES) Design Competition.
Planning for the 2017 event has begun and this year, we are hoping to find enthusiastic volunteers to join the organizing team that bring so much success to our annual events. We are looking for people interested in helping out with all levels of event organization and coordination, namely Committee Leaders, General Coordinators and Event Volunteers.
We will be holding an information session on October 16th for all those interested in being a part of the 2017 event! Engineering or science background is not required! We are also looking for people who have experience working with youth, a background in business/marketing/communications/education/
Volunteer roles includue:
Committee Leaders are enthusiastic leaders for each of the following teams;
- Logistics lead
- Curriculum lead
- Communications lead
- Participant lead
- Volunteer lead
- Marketing & media lead
- Sponsorship lead
General Coordinators participate in the organization and coordination of the event in one or several of the committee teams.
Event Volunteers are the hardworking people essential to the event success and can either be a part of the team working directly with the competiton participants or be part of the general execution of the event.
What is WIES?
WIES is the Women in Engineering and Science Design Competition. It is a competition for youth aged 11-14 and is organized by Professional Engineers Ontario West Toronto Chapter.
