We will start with a presentation in English, to introduce you to the fundamentals of Wikipedia and its main tools. Then you will have the opportunity to make your first edits.
The presentation will be in English, the hands-on portion can be facilitated in French or English.
By the end of the workshop, you will have the basic knowledge to be a Wikipedia contributor, and you will have gained familiarity with uOttawa’s Women’s Archives.
This is a hybrid event. If you're interested in attending remotely, please register for the Zoom session. Those attending in person will have the opportunity to visit the Special collections and archives after the workshop at 12 p.m. Bring your own laptop.

L’atelier débutera avec une présentation en anglais qui couvrira les principes fondamentaux de Wikipédia et ses outils de base. Vous aurez ensuite la chance de faire vos premières contributions. La présentation sera en anglais, la partie pratique peut être facilitée en anglais et en français.
À la fin de l’atelier, vous aurez acquis les connaissances pour contribuer à Wikipédia et vous serez devenu familiers avec les Archives des femmes de l'Université d'Ottawa.
Cet événement est hybride. Si vous souhaitez y assister à distance, veuillez vous inscrire à la session Zoom. Les personnes participant en présentiel auront l’opportunité de visiter les Archives et collections spéciales à 12 h, après l’atelier. Apportez votre ordinateur portable.
