Event Information
Description
McMaster University Libraries invites you to join us for this special one-day event. The open forum for Wikipedia & Health is an opportunity for experts and learners to discuss issues and trends around editing Wikipedia health content and the associated ethical or moral responsibilities. The timing of this event aligns with National Health Ethics Week (April 2-8, 2018).
The first half of the day, in the Health Sciences Library’s elegant History of Health and Medicine Room, will feature a panel discussion about Wikipedia editing within the field of health and medicine. The second half of the day will offer a brief training session for editing Wikipedia articles followed by an editing party in Thode Library’s new Makerspace.
If you’re interested in Wikipedia’s role in health, or have expertise to share on Wikipedia, you are encouraged to join us for this FREE event.
