Event description

Description

Join NANPS and the David Suzuki Foundation for a fascinating evening where Scott will introduce us to common bee species of Toronto, their habitat, impacts on bees in cities, and how to create nesting opportunities for urban bees.

Scott MacIvor is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Biological Sciences at the University of Toronto, where he is interested in plants and pollinators in cities, and more broadly, the biodiversity and ecosystem functioning of green infrastructure.

Scott contributed to the 'Bees of Toronto' Biodiversity Series, and the Toronto Pollinator Protection Strategy. You can learn more about his fascinating work here.

Tickets are $10 for NANPS members, $15 for General Public and the event is free to University of Toronto students (please have student ID ready at the door).
