NICOLETTE KREBITZ / 2016 / GERMANY / 98 MINUTES / CANADIAN PREMIERE / RATED 18A
Most definitely not to be confused with the Reese Witherspoon self-actualizing backpack saga, Nicole Krebitz's story of one woman's discovery of her animal nature is a creature of another sort entirely. Ania (the remarkable Lilith Stangenberg) is a socially disenfranchised office drone who stumbles upon a wolf in an urban park one day and hears the call of the wild. No Little Red Riding Hood, Ania is a seeker of meaning in an indifferent world, and the animal seems to provide the entry to another way of life – or is it a pathway?
