Event description

Description

There are few things more calming and restorative than a fresh cup of herbal tea. In fact, healing and healthful herbal teas have been used for daily consumption and as an important part of ceremonies the world over for thousands of years.

Learning to craft your own herbal teas from ingredients that you've grown or gathered from the land around you is a wonderful way to connect deeply to the spaces we most cherish.

Join Ontario-based forager, wildcrafter, writer and educator Bryan Dowkes for a hands on workshop making your very own wild tea blends. Learn how to safely identify wild edibles that you can use to flavour your creations and then make your own using a variety of foraged and market-bought organic ingredients including, chamomile, calendula blossoms, nettle, red clover, cedar, white pine, and more. Each participant will take home an 8 oz. mason jar containing their wild tea blend, plus the skills and recipes to experiment with many more wild combinations in the future.
