You and a guest are invited to join us and our featured speaker, Don Drysdale from DBM Law Group, for a complimentary information session on recent changes to the Wills, Estates and Succession Act (WESA) and what they mean for your estate plan. Discussion will include pros and cons of Powers of Attorney, Trusts and Joint Registrations.

About our featured speaker

Donald A. Drysdale

Don graduated from the University of Alberta Law School in 1975, moved to Vancouver and has practised in the Tri-City area since 1976. For a period of twenty-one years, Don practised in association with Feller Drysdale. As of September 1, 2003, Don is the lead principal of the new firm Drysdale Bacon McStravick.

Don’s practice has focused on corporate acquisitions and tax structuring and succession planning for businesses and estate planning, wills and estate for individuals in our community. He has also developed a very busy wills and estates practice. In his spare time, Don teaches courses through the Coquitlam adult education program on the subjects of real estate, wills and estates. In addition he supports several local community organizations including Dogwood Pavilion in Coquitlam where he attends monthly to provide free legal advice to low income seniors and frequently delivers lectures on wills estates powers of attorney and representation agreements.

In 2004, Don was recognized in a ceremony by the Chief Justice of the BC Supreme Court for all his contributions to legal education. An honour well deserved.
