Willowdale Community Leaders' Summit
Event Information
Description
The Willowdale Community Leaders' Summit will bring together local leaders of neighbourhood associations, sports teams, condominium boards, community and tenants' groups, parent & school councils, faith-based organizations, and many others! Most of these groups and their leaders have never met before. That's going to change.
Councillor John Filion's primary goal with this Summit is to help empower the Willowdale community to build a better and more healthy neighbourhood. To do that, John sees the Summit as facilitating a rich networking opportunity that will stimulate collaboration and connectivity among Willowdale-based leaders.
The plenary speaker is Dave Meslin, a graduate of Earl Haig Secondary School and author of the acclaimed book, "TEARDOWN: Rebuilding Democracy from the Ground Up," published in 2019.
