Little Pear Garden Dance Company and Artistic Director Emily Cheung is proud to present Wind Horse Mongolian dance troupe from inner Mongolian, China, a very rare chance to enjoy the authentic Mongolian culture in Canada. 8pm Show. 9:15pm Post show talk.

Wind Horse Dance Company, or "Khiimori" in Mongolian, represents the human soul and is a symbol of spirit. Consists of nine passionate vibrant dancers, their uniqueness isn’t just learning Mongolian dance as they live and breath from the grasslands and deserts of Inner Mongolia, specializing in both traditional and also contemporary folk dance graduate from Inner Mongolia University of Arts. Wind Horse Dance Company have performed throughout China in many events. Wind Horse Dance Company aims to share a genuine cultural experience, as they show an authentic interpretation of Mongolian myth, daily life and the natural environment.

These Mongolian indigenous dancers shares their dynamic and inspiration from the roots of their nomadic heritage - steps resembling a horse’s leisurely gallop, the strength and agility of the revered wolf, the fluidity of the vast, open grasslands and the joyful, warm embrace of Mongolian hospitality. As communities change and contemporize, traditions and stories can be lost - Wind Horse combines the "new and the old" as young dancers showcase years of practice and training to sharing their stories with audiences unfamiliar with Mongolian culture.
