Event description
Sit on your patio, deck or dock and enjoy an at-home wine tasting (compare Chardonnay's and/or Tempranillo's).

About this event

In this one-hour session, you will have the opportunity to learn about the building blocks of structuring your own at-home wine tastings, while sampling Oaked vs Unoaked Chardonnay and/or Tempranillo's joven;crianza vs reserva;gran reserva. The basics of varieties, climate, soil, vineyard management, wine-making and labeling will be covered and complemented by an online virtual tasting based off of a tasting grid, which you can replicate when holding your own at-home wine tastings. Purchasing wine for the event is optional as the presentation can still be enjoyed without a glass, but for those who would like to partake, a buying guide is included with some suggested purchasing guidelines.

We suggest a $20 donation but please feel free to donate any amount.

All proceeds go to the Kiwanis Club of North Eastern Ontario in support of the club’s children’s projects.

Must be 19 years of age to attend. Please drink responsibly.

About the Presenter

Krystyna Cap is a committed wine enthusiast who began her amateur wine journey with the fanciful idea of becoming a certified sommelier. While this never came to pass, Krystyna completed her Level 2 Wine and Spirit Education Trust (WSET) studies and even ran a short-lived wine blog. Krystyna firmly believes that wine can be enjoyed by anyone at any price point and that a little knowledge can make a big difference in appreciating what's in your glass.
